A native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Norman Antonio Whitted also has roots in Bladen, Cumberland, Robeson, Sampson, and Wake Counties, respectively.

A graduate of Westover Senior High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina, he went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Fayetteville State University. He holds Masters Degrees in both Business and Human Resources Development from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri; with additional graduate studies in education, government contracting, and project management. Forever the student, Norman earned his North Carolina Funeral Director’s Diploma from Fayetteville Technical Community College. 

Throughout his career, Norman has held various positions beginning with the Federal Government as a Visual Information Specialist. He has also held positions with PriceWaterhouse Cooper; Mellon Investors, ACS; and, Nortel Networks. Norman is the Community Outreach Coordinator for Cross Creek Early College High School located on the campus of  Fayetteville State University which is part of the Cumberland County School System. He is a Licensed Funeral Director; Life Insurance Agent; and, a North Carolina Notary. Norman is a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Fayetteville, NC. 

Returning to his roots has Norman excited about his future. It has always been his dream to own and operate a funeral business. He says, “Everyone has a ministry. Once you understand the gift God has given you, it is your responsibility to use it to bless others”.
