Alexis Charmane Whitted

“The Lord Gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord” (Job 1:21).

Alexis Charmane Whitted, affectionately known to many of her friends and family as “Ace” was born July 12, 1995, at Fort Stewart, Georgia, to Anthony Whitted and Cheryl Slaughter-Whitted.  Even at birth her beautiful smile, kind and loving personality could be felt.  

On Friday, August 4, 2017, in the calm of the early morning hours, Angels were dispensed to Alexis and her soul was carried from labor to reward.

Alexis understood the power of God and the importance of prayer. She was taught at a young age and encouraged to build a relationship with Christ.

Alexis graduated from Worth County High School in 2013. She went on to receive her Certificate in Accounting from Southern Regional in Moultrie, GA. The retail industry was her current chosen profession as she pondered her next career move in life. Though her life was shorten by our standards. Her impact that she had on so many lives will never be forgotten. God had a greater plan for our Angel.

Alexis was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Henry L. Slaughter and Eloise Slaughter.

Alexis love for life will be forever cherished and remembered by her mother and father: Cheryl Slaughter-Whitted, Doerun, Ga; Anthony Whitted (Irish), Clayton, North Carolina; her beloved sister and brother; Mignon Whitted, Houston, Texas; and Alexander Whitted, Albany, Georgia; grandparents; Carl and Jossie Melvin-Whitted, Fayetteville, North Carolina. Numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and life time friends.
