Life Story for Chief Warrant Officer 3 Frank Robinson
Frank Robinson, son of Jim and Callie Robinson was born on February 17, 1943 in Lugoff, South Carolina. The Lord saw fit to call Frank home on October 31, 2011 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, N.C. Frank was known lovingly as "Joe Smokes or Bubba" to family and friends.
Frank attended primary school in Lugoff, South Carolina. He received his undergraduate degree from Methodist College and a Masters from Boston College. He entered the U.S. Army on May 5, 1964. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam before finally retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer3. While active duty in the U.S. Army, he served as a Counter Intelligence Specialist. He had 24 years of dedicated service. After retiring from the military, he worked as a detective for the City of Fayetteville Police Department. Afterwards, he served as a Correction Officer with the North Carolina Department of Corrections.
Frank leaves behind to cherish his memories, three loving children, a son, Leon Starling (Daphne) of Lugoff, South Carolina. Two daughters, Monica Hall (Rozell), and Malia Robinson, both of Fayetteville N.C. He also had a step-daughter, Allerleirauh Triplitt, of Fayetteville, N.C. He had seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
