Lowell McKenzie

Lowell McKenzie was born October 24, 1953 to John and Luegenia McKenzie in Fayetteville, NC. Lowell received his formal education at EE Smith High School. On November 2, 1985 Lowell united in Holy Matrimony with Delphine Lane their union was blessed with two children. In 1995 Lowell proudly joined the Strike Security Tactical Forces Team where he retired in 2006. Lowell McKenzie departed this life on August 24, 2017. He was preceded was in death by siblings Ruby Haygood, Bernice Cooper, Faye Galbreath, John Jr., Ben, Wilton and Lafon McKenzie.

Lowell was the beloved husband of Delphine McKenzie, devoted father of J’Nai Shyvonne and Diondra Michelle and doting grandfather of Ryanna, Jimia, Jimmy, Nyla, Maya, Neelah and Makenzie. He was the brother of Michelle Curtis (Henry) of Newark, N.J., Linda McKenzie of Washington, D.C., brother Eward of Fayetteville, N.C., and Joyce Pope (Paul) of Petersburg, Va.; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
