Obituary for Michael Alston

A Celebration of Life For Michael Andrew Alston

On October 6, 2014, a handsome Angel was called to the skies to watch over us. Michael Andrew Alston was born October 21, 1965 to Naomi Irving and Salauh''din Ali. Born in Queens, NY. Michael graduated from Francis Lewis High School in 1984 and was ready to face the world. He was always interested in a challenge so therefore he attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice New York City, NY and there he received the necessary courses to begin a rewarding career. Michael joined the US Marines Corps May 1985 and served his county until May 1989. While serving time, he obtained several medals and badges such as Rifle Sharpshooter Badge, Seas Service Deployment Ribbon (w/1 Star), Good Conduct Medal and, Humanitarian Service Medal. The world was at his fingertips allowing him to travel all over the world.

Michael returned to New York where he worked as Kings County Hospital Police
Brooklyn, NY for 2 years. After realizing he wanted to leave the city, he moved to
South Carolina and then to Charlotte, NC where he currently resided.

Corinthians 2 5:17

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed
away; behold, all things are become become new." - Michael''s favorite scripture

My heart is broken, since you''ve been gone away. But I know you''ll be watching
over me every day. Your laugh kept me sane, your smile warmed my heart. I
never knew that the day would come that we''d be apart. I wish I could be with
you one last time. I will always cherish that our special day was scheduled for
December 5, 2014. You will never be forgotten, you''re always on my mind. I love
you with all my heart, and that''s a fact. I just want you back.
Love your fiancee,
Lisa

Until We Meet Again

We think about you always,
we talk about you still,
you have never been forgotten, Dad
and you never will.
We hold you close within our hearts,
and there you will remain,
To walk and guide us through our lives
until we meet again.

Michael, Devon, Jordan, Jada, Andrew, Brianna, and Vincent
