Terry Leroy Morrisey was born on February 13, 1965, in St. Joseph Hospital in Pinehurst, North Carolina to the late Freddie Lee Morrisey and the late Betty Cagel Morrisey. Terry made his transition from earth to heaven on March 21, 2016 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina surrounded by his love ones. Terry is preceded in death by one brother; Grant Morrisey.
Terry graduated from Hoke County High School in Raeford, North Carolina in 1983. After graduation he transitioned into the workforce. Terry worked various positions through out his career; Autumn Care of Raeford, Prime Equipment of Fayetteville, Part-time Bus Driver, and for the past fifteen and half years Terry worked for Walmart Distribution Center, in Hope Mills, North Carolina.
Terry’s spiritual journey began at an early age in McLaughlin Chapel AME Zion Church in Raeford, North Carolina. Terry was a kind and gentle giant. Quiet in spirit and loved by many.
Terry leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted and loving wife, Sharon Cobb Morrisey of the home; one son, Terris Morrisey; four brothers, Charles (Beulah), Larry, Kenny, Ronnie (Patricia), and Timothy (Jeanette); two sisters, Carolyn McFadgion, and Sharon Holiday (Ronald); two aunts, Thelma Bratcher, and Margaret Fisher; one uncle, Robert Shaw (Lillian); three stepsons, Anthony Cobb, Kendrick Cobb, and Rasheed Jones; one stepdaughter, De’Shandra Cobb; grandson, Devante Stone; brother in laws, Carlton Campbell (Robin), James Cobb, Tracy Cobb (Phyllis), Carl Melvin, Norman Whitted, Anthony Whitted (Irish); sister-in-law, Tonya Whitted; father-in-law, Carl Whitted, and a host of nephews, nieces, close cousins, and life time friends.
